I, Me & Myself

I have been walking, by the street.
I see a old man, full of anger and creed.

I asked, what happened, what have you found,
He says little confusions and many wounds.

I was a king of my life, I did whatever I could,
Somehow I missed what I should.

I played with friends, cheated my nearest,
I used my body as the cleverest.

Today my life boomeranged, see my wounds,
My real own are deaf to my sounds.

I have always taken the path which was shortest,
My appetite overcame and I never did protest.

Today again I am back to the same crossroad,
But I can’t decide, I will walk again with my broken sword.

Listen to my advices, I am an old man,
Forty years back the situation was same.

I couldn’t realize I was different from my body,
I used to hear myself but did what was shoddy.

You are more than what you can see in mirror,
More than what you think, more than just pioneer.

Choose the toughest path, have some faith,
You will realize you are free of any wrath.

Same crossroads will come to your life again and again,
But trust me you will know which one to be taken.

The old man left, I though I met my own clone,
Was it me forty years down, creeping alone.

Moving ahead, again I see the road and the streets,
But now I know which one to be left and which one to greet.
